they are similar because both of them are telling us how to live our lives / spend a day. they are different because from the story teller's point of view we should be selfish, do whatever we want to make ourselves happy. only take care of ourselves and our own interests. we should live today like there's no tomorrow - eat and drink as much as we want. however from the poem perspective it's not being selfish, but rather to help and be kind and look after each other, to have a day ''well spent".
