about the book "mary poppins"

1. which character would you like to be in this book? why?
i would like to be jane banks (jane is a daughter of the banks family) i would like one day my maid and teacher to be a magician.
that way jane doesn't have to tidy up her room, go on magical trips.
it seems to me that it's every girl's dream.
2. pick one character and explain why you would/would not like to have him/her as a friend.
i would not want mr. banks to be my friend. mr. banks is very serious and not cute.
he is angry with his children and they are very scared of him.
he is also angry at the people at his job and his wife mrs. banks and is always sad for him.
no one wants such a scary friend. at least not me.
4.write about what would happen if you brought one of your characters to school or home for a day.
if i had brought mrs. mary poppins to my school it could have been very funny.
she could do all my work and tests in her magic and i would succeed. she could also charm the teacher and it was very very funny.
5. do you think the title fits the book? why or why not?
me and my opinion think the title of the book "mary poppins" is very appropriate for the book because mary is the woman the whole book was written about (about her and her nonsense and magic) so it fits very well.
6. if you could talk to the author of this book, what would you tell him?

if i could talk to the author of the book i would tell him that the book is very funny in my opinion and suitable for all ages. i would ask him some questions like:
1. how did he write the book?
but i was very happy to talk to him.
7. pick a scene in which you disagreed with the way a character handled a situation/person and rewrite it in the way you think it should have happened.
i disagree with the scene where the kids disappear into the park and come back late and then mary gets mad at them. because mrs. mary is new there at home and she can no longer be angry with the children .. i would make her sweeter to them.
8.how does the character's actions affect other people in the story?
when mary poppins treats the children (jane and michael) nicely and respects them unlike the previous maids they had, it causes them to be better children and behave nicely to their beggar and teachers as well.

9. what is the most important sentence/paragraph/passage in this book? explain.
i think the most important sentence in this book is "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" because it's mary poppins' magic words and thanks to them she manages to do all her magic and wonders.
10. what came as a surprise in the book? why?
what is very surprising about this book is that jane and michael are bad kids at first - they do not listen to what they are told, they quarrel and beat and then after mary poppins comes to them they decide to donate their pocket money to the poor. it surprised me and moved me.
12. do any of the characters remind you of friends, family members, or classmates? explain
michael and jane's father, mr. george banks, sometimes reminds me of teachers who are angry if you have not done your homework and if you have not done assignments and tests or got a low score.
