A Big Problem
Have youe verv a python? It is a veru big snake. you can buy them in pet stores in the U.S.A. Many people buy them because they look cute when they are small.but what do the owners do with their pets when they grow into five meters long snake? well,many people take them to a park and set them free.
This is exactly what happend to Tom Brooks from Florida.Tom wanted to have a pet snake. One day he saw a littele snake in a shop and he decided to buy it. But his snake began to grow until it became a big and dangerouse python.
It wasn't easy fo Tom to take care of his pet snake. It was always hungry and he had to feed it mice,rast and rabbit.He also had to clean its cage every day.In the end, Tom didn't want the snake anymore. It was too much work and no fun.
Tom decided to call the zoo, but they didn't want his python. He asked a few frends, but they weren't interested either. Because no one wanted his his five meters long python, Tom took it to the Everglades park in Florida and set it free.
Tom may not have a priblem anymore, but the guards at Everglades park don't know what to do. More and more people are leaving their pet snakes in the park. The snake can be dangerous to both animals and people.park guards have already found hundreds of snakes in the park, but there could be thousands.If we aren't careful, the Everglades park might soon become Python Park!
